Mars ♂ opposition is almost in the same position on October 15, 2007 as it was on October 15, 2006. On the left side of the above map Mars ♂ opposition runs north of the Hawaiian Islands through Anchorage, Alaska and runs east of Australia and west of New Zealand through the South Island and Auckland Islands on the lower right hand corner of the map. Note that the Sun ☼ opposition (which last year conjuncted Mars from a direct [+] position) will, at exactly 10:53 PM GMT on October 15, 2007, run through Central North America and Western South America in places such as Manitoba and Ontario, Canada, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Eastern Tennessee, Georgia and Florida in the United States, Panama, West Coast of Colombia (Cali), East of Quito, Ecuador, West of Lima, Peru, Santiago, Chile (north of Chile May 22, 1960 9.5 Quake) and Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina. Should an earthquake happen at this time, it could occur along this line as well at precisely that time ± 4° longitude to no more than ± 10° longitude east and west of that line. If a major earthquake occurs on the Big Island of Hawaii, it could happen around the solar return time of 12:53 PM HST (Hawaii local time), 6:53 PM, EST, which is 10:53 PM, GMT/UTC. What the Solar Return map says more than anything else is that there is a likely chance of a repeat of this event in Hawaii between Oct 15, 2007 to Oct 15, 2008. One way to view it is that the Mars energy from the 2006 Kiloho Bay earthquake will still be stationed north of the Hawaiian Islands for at least one more year from Oct 15, 2007 to Oct 15, 2008. This energy under the right transiting influence could trigger a major earthquake north or south of this line. Note that Mars conjunct ♂ó travels through West Africa and Cape Town, South Africa.
